Measurement using non standard units

    1. How to measure objects in the room

    2. Learning the rules of non standard units (Objects have to be the same size, no spaces)

    3. Measuring large objects using non standard units 

    4. Learning terminology such as: Length, height, larger than, smaller than, heavy, light

(Apologies for a bit overlap in concepts covered from last week in science and social. I was away last week for a couple days so we are playing a bit of catch up)

Science 

The great viscosity race!

    - Today we did this race using 4 new liquids. The students loved being able to make predictions about which liquid would flow the fastest. We tested oil, hand sanitizer, honey and dish soap. The placements were:

1. Oil

2. Hand Sanitizer

3. Honey 

4. Dish soap

Social

-Learning about the daily life activities in Meteghan.

-Learning about the animals that can be found in Meteghan and the Maritimes.

-Creating sea creatures using plasticine
